CP. Having no therapy as a child has resulted in years of
severe pain and decreasing function requiring 10 surgeries
on my arm to eliminate pain and dislocations. Major
surgery on my back and surgery on my foot. Moreover, I
only have hemiplegia. As a occupational therapist and
certified hand therapist working with children I have
learned that therapy for a child can eliminate or reduce
pain, improve
function, improve quality of life, and much more. Most
importantly save hundreds of thousands of dollars for
surgery, greater disability, and therapy for an adult.
