now and <strong>the</strong>se children would grow up <strong>to</strong> be much more<br />

expensive <strong>to</strong> society as adults when <strong>the</strong> government has <strong>to</strong><br />

pay <strong>to</strong> c<strong>are</strong> for <strong>the</strong>m when with <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>rapies <strong>the</strong> children<br />

could become contribut<strong>in</strong>g members of society. Give <strong>the</strong>m<br />

a break <strong>the</strong> emotional and possible f<strong>in</strong>ancial burden you<br />

<strong>are</strong> ask<strong>in</strong>g is greater than any deserve. Give <strong>the</strong> children a<br />

chance.<br />

5,881. Ian Graham Chico, CA Two of my sisters children have disabilities and have been<br />

us<strong>in</strong>g CCS with great success. It would be a shame <strong>to</strong><br />

know that children wouldn't be able <strong>to</strong> make <strong>the</strong> amount of<br />

progress that my niece and nephew made (and <strong>are</strong><br />

mak<strong>in</strong>g) without <strong>the</strong> help of CCS<br />

5,882. Suzette Graham K<strong>in</strong>g City, CA I have two grandchildren who need <strong>the</strong>se services. This bill<br />

would cut <strong>the</strong>m from <strong>the</strong>se services and <strong>the</strong>re is no real<br />

affordable option left <strong>to</strong> help <strong>the</strong>m. It is upsett<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> see<br />

crim<strong>in</strong>als receive more services than <strong>the</strong> needy children of<br />

<strong>California</strong>.<br />

5,884. Lizabeth Muir La Mesa, CA The poorly abused budget shouldn't be balanced on <strong>the</strong><br />

backs of those who can't walk!!!<br />

5,885. renee valent<strong>in</strong>o Santa Rosa, CA I am <strong>the</strong> mo<strong>the</strong>r of a child who needed <strong>the</strong>rapies for<br />

several years an dis now do<strong>in</strong>g f<strong>in</strong>e. I am also a pediatric<br />

<strong>the</strong>rapist <strong>in</strong> private practice, see<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> difficulties that arise<br />

when kids <strong>are</strong> not properly served. <strong>We</strong> ei<strong>the</strong>r fund CCS or<br />

mandate that <strong>in</strong>surance companies fund <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>rapies <strong>the</strong><br />

kids need!!!!<br />

5,890. Kim Holmes San Luis Obispo, CA As a public school district, we serve and c<strong>are</strong> about all <strong>the</strong><br />

students who come <strong>to</strong> us. <strong>We</strong> recognize <strong>the</strong> special needs<br />

of this population, but cutt<strong>in</strong>g this fund<strong>in</strong>g will negatively<br />

impact those families and <strong>the</strong> families of all o<strong>the</strong>r students<br />

- because those districts will have <strong>to</strong> use additional<br />

resources <strong>to</strong> serve <strong>the</strong> special needs students.<br />

5,892. Emily Cappellano San Luis Obispo, CA The professionals at CCS's MTP <strong>are</strong> a vital part of<br />

support<strong>in</strong>g our students and community. They <strong>are</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong>itial and on-go<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>rapy for children who need early<br />

<strong>in</strong>tervention. They support families <strong>in</strong> know<strong>in</strong>g what <strong>to</strong><br />

expect developmentally, how <strong>to</strong> best help <strong>the</strong>ir child, and a<br />

direct connection <strong>to</strong> additional services for that child. I rely<br />

on my CCS <strong>the</strong>rapists, as a special education teacher, <strong>to</strong><br />
