4,293. Liz Foster Belmont, CA Having a child with disabilities can put a drain in a family's
expenses. Private therapy in our area costs around $100 -
150 per session. Think about how much that comes to if
you do once or twice a week! I hope the legislators will
consider cuts elsewhere to maintain current CCS MTP
services.
My 9 year old daughter has cerebral palsy and has
received CCS PT and OT services since she was 5. The
school district does not offer us PT, so CCS has been very
helpful in that respect.
4,294. Muriel Cahn Burbank, CA
4,295. Dawn Rice San Rafael, CA I have a special needs child. Although we do not need
those therapies presently, thousands of children in the
state do. You would be cutting off modalities that help their
deal with their disabilities, and that is just wrong.
4,312. Tristan Celayeta Mill Valley, CA The eligibility parameters proposed are designed to
exclude low income folk. Those who attempt to curtail
medical access are criminals and should be treated as
such - legislators especially.
4,313. Jim Reynolds Montague, CA
4,314. Leslie Craven San Francisco, CA It is of the utmost importance that children with special
needs have access to interventions that can facilitate
independence and their true potential. By the way it will
save the state money in the long run if they can do more
for themselves.
