imag<strong>in</strong>e <strong>the</strong> suffer<strong>in</strong>g that is needless. Let's tax <strong>the</strong> oil and<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r resources be<strong>in</strong>g taken from <strong>California</strong>; let's tax <strong>the</strong><br />

corporate property sheltered by prop. 13. Lets s<strong>to</strong>p<br />

shr<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g government essential servicess <strong>in</strong> <strong>California</strong>. Our<br />

people and economy won't benefit and <strong>the</strong> harm done is<br />

<strong>in</strong>calculable.<br />

who have no o<strong>the</strong>r options. Just look at how many mentally<br />

ill people <strong>are</strong> roam<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> streets because <strong>the</strong>y cannot get<br />

help. Family with special needs kids suffer greatly and<br />

without a safety net <strong>the</strong>re is no workable solution unless, of<br />

course, <strong>the</strong> 1% would be will<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> put a little of <strong>the</strong>ir pocket<br />

change <strong>to</strong>ward help<strong>in</strong>g out.<br />
