Apple Valley, CA Children with handicap need <strong>to</strong> be taught <strong>to</strong> overcome <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

handicap and live as close <strong>to</strong> a normal life as possible.<br />

Why deny <strong>the</strong>m that right.<br />

5,588. Dawn Jackson Powder Spr<strong>in</strong>gs, GA I <strong>to</strong>o have a special needs child with neurological<br />

disorders. Give <strong>the</strong>se children <strong>the</strong> opportunity <strong>to</strong> lead as<br />

normal life as possible. Qualification shouldn't even be an<br />

issue.<br />

5,589. Kaliko Yandall San Diego, CA Children with severe disabilities require more medically<br />

based <strong>the</strong>rapy <strong>to</strong> <strong>in</strong>crease <strong>the</strong>ir level of <strong>in</strong>dependence,<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir health and overall quality of life. If this service is<br />

elim<strong>in</strong>ated, <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> overall impact on society ( <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g<br />

f<strong>in</strong>ancial stra<strong>in</strong> ) may not occur now, but will delay <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong>evitable- f<strong>in</strong>ancial hardship on families of <strong>the</strong>se children,<br />

but also on taxpayers.<br />

5,594. Kerry Grolle San Luis Obispo, CA These children deserve <strong>the</strong> right <strong>to</strong> services which enable<br />

<strong>the</strong>m <strong>to</strong> live more <strong>in</strong>dependent lives.<br />

5,595. Jan<strong>in</strong>e Acevedo Sebas<strong>to</strong>pol, CA As an early <strong>in</strong>tervention special educa<strong>to</strong>r, I've seen <strong>the</strong><br />

progress young children can make when <strong>the</strong>y have PT, OT<br />

and MTC services at CCS. The w<strong>in</strong>dow of time <strong>to</strong> make<br />

this progress is <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>se early years. Budget cuts not only<br />

is short sighted, as <strong>the</strong> kids will just need way more<br />

<strong>the</strong>rapy, it is violat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>ir human rights.<br />

Please keep CCS's Medical Therapy Program help<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

young children who need it so much.<br />

Thank you,<br />
