died as well as his wife. The impact caused some brain
damage and he can not lift his head like a child of his age
due to Cerebral Palsy. This treatment would provide hope
to this family.
4,544. Joanne Figone Petaluma, CA I worked in the CCS system many years ago. THe
therapists working for CCS are specifically trained to work
with children with Cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular
disorders. Cerebral palsy and these other severe
neuromuscular disorders affect all families, no matter your
socioeconomic background. It is important for parents to
be able to get skilled therapists to work with there children
and help the children be able to care for themselves as
much as possible and to enable familiies to know how to
care for the children most effectively. There are many
people with CP who are attending college and have
entered the work force, who would not have been able to
do this without therapists providing them with the
necessary skills and adaptations to enable them to be
productive members of our society. Don't take this away
from the children and their families. Alll families need to be
able to obtain these services easily and be able to obtain
coordinated care for their children. Insurance systems are
a nightmare and the children won't get the same type of
care and coordination.
