program, including the MTU services, is essential. This
program is already limited and the eligibility extremely
specific. Providing services to these children early often
helps to resolve many issues early rather than waiting for
them to become more severe and significant, which then
needs to be dealt with in a more costly way for all. Not
providing services early often creates situations that are
financially more costly for the state with future medical,
educational and social programs. Early support for families
to address some of these issues is purhaps requires more
funding upfront, however if your vision is greater that the
next 1 - 5 years - the savings is huge in dollar amount, and
on the emotional, educational and social fronts

first hand, the struggles that middle class families have
keeping up with the costs of care. I know this will be a
large blow to those families and impact the level of care
that many of these children will receive.
