could not possibly, as a family of four, live off of $40,000 a
year in our area, yet the only therapists capable of dealing
with her multiple disabilities work in the MTP. If this budget
passes, we would lose some of her most valuable
resources. They have helped her move from a child almost
completely unable to move to one that is rolling across the
floor and grabbing toys and able to soothe herself.

right to these important services for their child. Therapy
(OT, PT, equipment, AFOs, chairs, walkers, standers,
wheelchairs, medications, lifts). Therapy and equipment
are SO expensive for these children, every child with
medical + physical challenges has the right to have the
correct services and equipment they need to achieve the
best quality of life.

first hand how medical therapy therapy services improve
the lives of children with disabilities. Limiting these services
to families based on their ability to pay, rather than on the
medical therapy needs of the child, is grossly unfair to
these families who are already burdened with tremendous
financial constraints and medical issues. Please do not cut
these vital services to families with children with special
needs!
