services, they help parents navigate the complexities of
raising a child with special needs. It is hard to know what
early interventions to pursue. They are especially helpful in
figuring out what equipment (wheelchair, walker, stander,
bath chair, etc. will best help the development and quality
of life of the child. My son was born with severe brain
damage resulting in cerebral palsy, severe scoliosis,
seizure disorder, low vision and other disorders. CCS has
not paid for our equipment, but their therapy and
consultations have been invaluable.

Santa Cruz, CA The kinds of therapy CCS offers my daughter are not only
critical to her future -- her ability to hold weight on her legs
and be mobile will allow her to live with me as an adult;
they are also critical to her happiness. She takes great
pride in her ability to move, and therapy is wonderful in
expanding her world of relationships. Millie is non-verbal
and non-ambulatory -- "severely to profoundly" affected by
her disability; I'm not sure what we would do without this
service.
