Abstract
This paper presents a high speed test bench in project and the control
system design that permits to use as well as possible this test device. The test
bench is made of a hydraulic actuator whose cylinder is linked to a mechanical
structure to be tested. The tested structure is to be compressed by the actuator
whose cylinder position is controlled and follows a given trajectory. The control
system must take into account the fact that the parameters of the tested structure
are not well-known and change during the test.
This paper also presents the different test devices available in two
laboratories at ENSICA and ENSAM
Introduction
Tests are often to be achieved under specifications such as velocity, force
or temperature. In order to guaranty these specifications, control system design is
a precious tool. Control system design requires modelling all the devices: the test
machine, the sensors and the tested structure. This is not so easy concerning the
tested structure.
