Marketing teams must follow the requirements described in this Chapter when creating<br />

marketing materials that reference <strong>Pfizer</strong> patient assistance programs (PAPs).<br />

Field Force Colleagues must follow the requirements described in this Chapter when<br />

discussing PAPs with customers.<br />

A PAP:<br />

<strong>Pfizer</strong> Programs<br />

o May not make assistance determinations with regard to any provider, practitioner,<br />

supplier, or insurance plan used by the applicant;<br />

o Should assess applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis;<br />

o Should not exhibit any characteristics of a marketing program or in any way<br />

promote <strong>Pfizer</strong> products; <strong>and</strong><br />

o Should have written formal guidelines establishing the criteria for assistance<br />

eligibility <strong>and</strong> the policies <strong>and</strong> procedures for administration of the programs.<br />

<strong>Pfizer</strong> Helpful Answers® is a joint program of <strong>Pfizer</strong> Inc <strong>and</strong> the <strong>Pfizer</strong> Patient Assistance Foundation.<br />

<strong>Pfizer</strong> Helpful Answers is a family of patient assistance programs <strong>and</strong> these programs are designed to<br />

create options for patients who may need help accessing their <strong>Pfizer</strong> medicines. These programs<br />

provide savings on <strong>Pfizer</strong> medicines <strong>and</strong>/or free <strong>Pfizer</strong> medicines to qualifying patients.<br />

<strong>Pfizer</strong> may also provide general reimbursement support services for <strong>Pfizer</strong>’s oncology <strong>and</strong> specialty<br />

products through some of its <strong>Pfizer</strong> Helpful Answers programs. Generally, however, <strong>Pfizer</strong> cannot<br />

represent individual patients or fund representation for them regarding a particular claim.<br />
