Key Points to Ensure Compliance<br />

At consumer events where you have an opportunity to interact with consumers:<br />

o Use only RC-approved materials intended for consumers <strong>and</strong> limit your discussion to the<br />

information contained in these materials;<br />

o Provide fair <strong>and</strong> balanced information;<br />

o Do not provide off-label information;<br />

o Do not provide advice to consumers about their treatment. Refer consumers to their HCP<br />

to discuss treatment options; <strong>and</strong><br />

o Do not discuss competitor products.<br />

<strong>Pfizer</strong> is responsible for the conduct of the speaker <strong>and</strong> all content presented at <strong>Pfizer</strong> speaker<br />

programs held for consumers (whether br<strong>and</strong>ed or unbr<strong>and</strong>ed). The program <strong>and</strong> speaker<br />

must follow all applicable EZSpeak requirements. In addition, the speaker:<br />

o Must not provide specific medical advice to a consumer attendee <strong>and</strong> should instead refer<br />

the attendee to their HCP;<br />

o Must not discuss competitor products;<br />

o Must not provide off-label information in any circumstance; <strong>and</strong><br />

o Must not promote his/her practice or recruit any new patients out of the audience.<br />

Meals at consumer programs may not exceed $25 per person (food, beverages, tax <strong>and</strong> tip<br />

included).<br />

Always disclose that you are a <strong>Pfizer</strong> employee or representative when interacting with<br />

patients. Wear your <strong>Pfizer</strong> name tag at all times.<br />

Employees are consumers. <strong>Pfizer</strong> interactions with company employees (such as at a health<br />

fair) must conform to the same principles applicable to consumer interactions.<br />
