<strong>Orange</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> – Chapter 3: Support of External Organizations<br />

Internal Coordination: Involvement of Business Unit Colleagues in policy-focused<br />

healthcare charitable contributions <strong>and</strong> Special Events must be strictly limited. Certain<br />

designated Business Unit Colleagues are permitted to present therapeutic area strategies<br />

<strong>and</strong> priorities to Public Affairs so that the Public Affairs group has access to the most<br />

comprehensive information in determining how best to work with requesting organizations.<br />

These presentations may not focus on specific events or funding opportunities <strong>and</strong> may<br />

occur only during development of operating plans <strong>and</strong> strategic planning discussions.<br />

Additional Assistance: If a Special Event includes or requires <strong>Pfizer</strong> participation, such as<br />

volunteers to h<strong>and</strong> out materials or seats at a gala table, Public Affairs may invite colleagues<br />

to participate only if there is no br<strong>and</strong>ed or promotional interaction with the organization,<br />

<strong>and</strong> discussions with attendees must not involve <strong>Pfizer</strong> br<strong>and</strong>s or products. Colleagues are<br />

not permitted to invite HCPs to these events.<br />
