2.6.0 Stol!lge of Materials
2.6.1 General
2.6.2 Cement
All materials shall be so stored as to prevent deterioration and intrusion of
foreign matter and. to ensure the preservation of their quality and
characteristics for the work. Ani material. which is deteriorated or Is
damaged or Is otherwise considered defective by the Engineer, shall not be
used for construction arfd shall be removed from site immediately, failing

Reinforcement shall be stored preferably under cover and stacked off ground
In size 'and grade-wise separate stacks for easy identification.
2.6.5 Steel, Metal and fittings
All steel, metal and fittings to be ui8d for fabrication and erection shall be
stored sectionwise and lengthwise In separate stacks, off ground, so that they
cal'! be handled, inspected, measured and accounted for easily at any time,
If required by the Engineer, the materials may have to be stored In a covered
shed.
