provided for the project ‘Salma Dam HEP,<br />
Afghanistan’ through M/s WAPCOS for<br />
PLCC equipment and 48V D C <strong>power</strong> supply<br />
system, EPABX system and associated<br />
accessories.<br />
e) NCA has installed an RTU at River Bed<br />
Power House (RBPH) at Narmada Complex<br />
in Kevadia, Gujarat to enable transmission<br />
of data to Western Regional Load Despatch<br />
Centre (WRLDC). CEA has provided<br />
technical inputs to NCA.<br />
f) CEA officers participated in the discussions<br />
in the meetings organized by BIS, CIGRE,<br />
etc. A meeting of Fibre Optics, Fibres, Cables<br />
and Devices Sectional Committee LITD 11<br />
was organized by BIS on 21 st December,<br />
2009 at New Delhi to discuss Indian<br />
Standard on Fibre Optics. CEA officers<br />

participated in the discussions organized<br />
by BIS regarding Power System Control<br />
and Associated communications- Sectional<br />
Committee- LITD 10 in joint session with<br />
SCADA Working Group for Power Sector<br />
to discuss Indian Standard on SCADA.<br />
8.4 Scrutiny of Bill of Quantity (BoQ) of<br />
Small HE Schemes Certification as<br />
Capital Goods<br />
Bill of Quantity (BoQ) of 8 (eight) small/<br />
mini HE schemes viz. Manjanadaka (2x5 MW),<br />
Dadupur (4x1.5 MW), Kadamane (4x7.5 MW),<br />
Varahi Tail Race (2x7.5 MW), Dandela (3x4.35<br />
MW), Birahi Ganga (2x2.4 MW), Somanamardi<br />
(1x6 MW), Somavathi (2x3 MW) comprising of<br />
electromechanical equipment for the generating<br />
units, associated auxiliaries, transmission lines<br />
etc. received for the purpose of certification as<br />
capital goods were examined and commented<br />
upon.<br />
8.5 Assessment of Requirement of<br />
Electrical Equipment and Steel for<br />
12 th & 13 th Plan Periods<br />
An assessment regarding the requirement<br />
of electrical equipment and steel for various<br />
hydro projects to be taken up during 12 th and 13 th<br />
Plans was made.<br />
