This section describes how to program the serial port using the appropriate registers. The Serial<br />

Receive Buffer Register (SxRBUF) is shown in Figure 11-8 and the Serial Transmit Buffer Register<br />

(SxTBUF) is shown in Figure 11-9. These registers have the same functions in any serial<br />

port mode.<br />
