Project Description<br />

Proactive safety analysis of information provided by<br />

Operating and Maintenance departments is not routinely<br />

conducted. This negatively impacts the ability of WMATA<br />

to provide more support for proficiency testing, conduct<br />

more in‐ depth safety studies, reviews and<br />

accident/incident investigations. This project addresses<br />

FTA SMI R‐7‐42‐b<br />

Deliverables<br />

1) Provide revised draft of Policy/Instruction 10.4/0<br />

2) Develop a "top ten" list of highest priority<br />

accident/incident investigations monthly<br />
