Metro’s committee that was created to address the needs of senior<br />

citizens and customers with disabilities; efforts have resulted in<br />

numerous service upgrades including gap reducers, to make it<br />

easier for customers using wheelchairs to board Metrorail trains.<br />

The accounting principles and methods appropriate for a<br />

government enterprise fund. Financial statements are prepared on<br />

the accrual basis of accounting under which revenues and expenses<br />

are recognized when earned or incurred.<br />

Basis of Accounting where revenues are recognized when they are<br />

MetroAccess with a fleet of over 600 vans and sedans also equipped<br />

with lifts and tie downs.<br />

The revenue and expenditure plan approved by the Metro Board of<br />

Directors for a specific one year period starting on July 1.<br />

Refers to the bus service that operates within Arlington County,<br />

Virginia, providing access to Metrorail and supplementing<br />

Metrobus with smaller, neighborhood-friendly vehicles.<br />
