NTSB is an independent federal agency charged with determining<br />

the probable cause of transportation accidents, promoting<br />

transportation safety, and assisting victims of transportation<br />

accidents and their families.<br />

The operations center that facilitates monitoring and<br />

communications for Metrorail operations.<br />

Refers to expenditure in the operating budget for salaries and wages<br />

paid for services performed by Metro employees as well as fringe<br />

benefits costs associated with their employment.<br />

Refers to signs located on each platform and mezzanine of every<br />

rail station to provide information to customers including next<br />

train’s scheduled time of arrival, service delays, elevator outages,<br />

and free shuttle arrangements when elevators are out of service.<br />
