Archeologické rozhledy LX–2008 339Kvantitativní paleodemografická analýza souborů koster spojená s odhadem naděje dožití a jejíinterpretací ve smyslu životních a sanitárních podmínek je však vzhledem k přesnosti a spolehlivostiúdajů o věku dožití z pohledu pesimisty-empirika utopií. Analýza pohřebišť biologickým antropologemmá přesto svůj význam. I přes uvedené limity mohou primární demografické údaje získané studiempohřebních celků poskytnout pro rekonstrukci minulosti cenné informace o struktuře, sociálních faktorech,homogenitě či heterogenitě pohřbených ve vztahu k pohřebnímu ritu, funkci lokality a zvláštnostemvýběru (rekrutování) pohřbených jedinců. Zvláštním případem je pak ryze biologická analýzasouborů koster speciálními technikami a přístupy s charakterem mezioborové spolupráce (paleogenetika,biomechanika, paleobiologie výživy, studium rezidenční mobility pomocí stabilních izotopů,paleoepidemiologie atd.).
