SJVNL, through its intense and concerted efforts, has<br />
secured all statutory clearances including Environmental,<br />
Forest, PIB and finally CCEA clearance on January 11,<br />
2007, for its 412 MW Rampur Hydro Electric Project.<br />
Subsequent, to CCEA clearance SJVNL has awarded major<br />
civil works on February 01, 2007. Construction works <strong>of</strong><br />
Rampur HE Project are in full swing and all the six units <strong>of</strong><br />
the project are scheduled to commission by<br />
January 2012. Total cost <strong>of</strong> project at March 2006 price<br />
level is 2047.03 crores.<br />
8.0 Corporate Plan<br />
SJVNL has drawn a comprehensive 10 year plan to achieve<br />
a target <strong>of</strong> approximately 6700 MW by 2014 - 15 and<br />
emerge as a major contributor in Hydel <strong>Power</strong> generation.<br />
SJVNL has already taken up the execution and subsequent<br />
operation and maintenance, <strong>of</strong> the following projects in the<br />
states <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand :<br />
(1) Luhri HE Project ( 775 MW )* located on river Satluj<br />
in Shimla district <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh.<br />
(2) Khab HE Project ( 1020 MW )* located on river Satluj<br />
in Kinnaur district <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh.<br />
(3) Devsari Dam HE Project - 300 MW, on river Pindar,<br />
located in district Chamoli <strong>of</strong> Uttarakhand state.<br />
(4) Naitwar Mori HE Project – 34.5 MW, on river Tons<br />
( a tributary <strong>of</strong> river Yamuna ), located in district<br />
Uttarkashi <strong>of</strong> Uttarakhand state.<br />
(5) Jakhol Sankri HE Project - 36 MW, on river Supin,<br />
located in district Uttarkashi <strong>of</strong> Uttarakhand state.<br />
(* Note :- The Implementation Agreements for the execution<br />
<strong>of</strong> Luhri HE and Khab HE Projects have yet not been signed<br />
by Govt. <strong>of</strong> Himachal Pradesh with SJVNL.)<br />
SJVNL is also making all out efforts to take up the execution<br />
<strong>of</strong> more projects in the other states <strong>of</strong> the Country.<br />
9.0 Organizational Status<br />
9.1 Human Resources<br />
The total man power on the rolls <strong>of</strong> SJVNL was 935 as on<br />
31st March 2007 as against 875 as on 31st March 2006.<br />
The strength <strong>of</strong> HPSEB / HP Govt. on deputation on the<br />
above date was 800. The strength <strong>of</strong> SC, ST and OBC<br />
employees as on the above date was 194, 49 and 85<br />
respectively.<br />
9.2 Human Resources Development<br />
SJVNL believe that employees are its most valuable assets<br />
and has evolved growth oriented human resource<br />
development strategy.<br />
Empowerment <strong>of</strong> manpower skills through training received<br />
utmost importance all the time. The Company has well<br />
established strategy for imparting training to the employees<br />
and involved other pr<strong>of</strong>essional people to motivate the<br />
employees for good working. The training imparted is two-<br />
