<strong>Power</strong> Hydraulique, France and M/s Alstom Projects<br />
India Ltd., New Delhi, and Hydro Mechanical works<br />
have been awarded to M/s Texmaco. The project had<br />
suffered initial delays due to delay in issue <strong>of</strong> formal<br />
forest clearance by MOEF & non-diversion <strong>of</strong> land from<br />
the State Govts. <strong>of</strong> Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.<br />
Forest clearance was accorded by MOEF on<br />
12.10.2004. The river has been diverted on 25.12.2007.<br />
The Excavation <strong>of</strong> Intake Structure, HRT and surge<br />
chamber are in progress. Due to incessant rain in the<br />
month <strong>of</strong> January, 2008, slope failure has taken place<br />
in the power house area and the project roads<br />
have also been damaged. An expenditure <strong>of</strong><br />
Rs.1819.25 crore has been incurred up to January, 2008.<br />
NTPC Projects (Thermal)<br />
A view <strong>of</strong> the dam and spilway, Doyang Hydro Electric <strong>Power</strong> Station (75MW), Nagaland<br />
(i) Bongaigaon TPS (3X250) MW by NTPC: NTPC has<br />
proposed to set up coal based Bongaigaon TPP<br />
(3x250MW) at Salkati, Kokrajhar District <strong>of</strong> Assam.<br />
A coal linkage has been accorded by the <strong>Ministry</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
Coal. MOE&F clearance has also been received on<br />
07.06.2007. NTPC had invited bids for supply <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Main Plant Equipments and the Letter <strong>of</strong> Award (LOA)<br />
has been placed on 05.02.2008. Commissioning <strong>of</strong><br />
three (3) units is expected during the 11 th Plan i.e. in<br />
Nov, 2010, March. 2011 and July. 2011 respectively.<br />
Joint Venture Projects (Thermal)<br />
(i) Tripura Gas (750 MW) by <strong>Power</strong> Development<br />
Company, Joint Venture <strong>of</strong> ILF&FS, ONGC and<br />
Govt. <strong>of</strong> Tripura: ONGC in joint venture with IL&FS<br />
Govt. <strong>of</strong> Tripura proposes to set up (3x250 MW)<br />
combined cycle gas based power plant at Paltana in<br />
Tripura. Gas supply agreement has been signed with<br />
ONGC in April, 05. The DPR for project has been<br />
completed. MOE&F clearance has been accorded on<br />
07.02.2007. Pre- bid conference was held on<br />
15.09.2007 and the Bids were opened on 21.12.2007<br />
and are under evaluation. LOA is expected to be placed<br />
by March, 2008. The project is scheduled for<br />
commissioning during the 11th Plan.<br />
STATE SECTOR PROJECTS<br />
(i) Myntdu (2x42 MW) – Meghalaya: Myntdu HE Project<br />
(2x42 MW) is under execution by the Meghalaya<br />
State Electricity Board. The CEA accorded clearance<br />
to this project on 20.09.99 at an estimated cost <strong>of</strong><br />
Rs.391.33 crore (completion cost at 01/99 PL) with the<br />
