EMPLOYMENT OF PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS<br />

From the very beginning, it has been the endeavor <strong>of</strong><br />

SJVNL to give due representation to the physically<br />

challenged persons in the employment <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Corporation. However, due to geographical conditions<br />

and peculiar construction work <strong>of</strong> the hydro electric<br />

Except one post <strong>of</strong> Steno. Gr.III all the posts reserved<br />

for Physically Handicapped are filled-up. Action has<br />

already been initiated for filliing up the post <strong>of</strong><br />

Stenographer Gr.III.<br />

projects, most posts in the technical area do not suit the<br />

disabled persons. As such, their employment has mainly<br />

been in non technical posts. At present, their strength is<br />

8 ( Eight ), which is about 0.85 % <strong>of</strong> the total manpower<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Corporation.<br />

During the period under report, 02 Officers belongs to<br />

SC Category and 04 belongs to OBC Category joined as<br />

Asstt. Director (Tech./Faculty) in NPTI.
