Open the exhalation valve and remove the<br />
diaphragm. Reseat the diaphragm and snap the<br />
exhalation valve in place. See page 13-8 for a<br />
diagram of correct exhalation valve assembly.<br />
Check high and low pressure sense lines to be<br />
sure they are correctly attached and securely<br />
seated at both the ventilator and wye ends.<br />
Check the luer fitting connections for leaks.<br />
Check the elbow connectors at the wye to be<br />
sure they have not loosened or been broken<br />
loose.<br />
Verify lines are not occluded or pinched.<br />
Check the exhalation drive line at both the<br />
ventilator and exhalation valve ends. Verify the<br />
line is securely seated and not leaking.<br />
Perform an autozero under XDCR ZERO. See<br />
page 10-27 for more information.<br />
