The Center Cannot Hold.

Can't you feel it, Brothers and Sisters? Do you also have a
feeling that things are breaking down? That nothing works
quite as it should?
Our republic has fallen into the hands of evil and stupid men,
because the people VOTED FOR evil and stupid men. Wages
are dropping, benefits are almost non-existant, and everywhere
we turn, there are enemies...foreign AND domestic.
When I close my eyes, my friends, I can almost FEEL the sand
shifting beneath our feet, as all we have, and all our ancestors
have built begins to erode at a rate that is visible to the naked
eye...to those who care to look. It is as if we are on the edge of
an abyss, and that edge is crumbling away.
While we squander precious resources in foolish wars and
equally foolish peace, a new dark age approaches. The fall may
be gradual, or - more likely - it may come with a resounding
crash, but you can say good bye to all the amenities that
surround you. Before long, you will look at the world through
the eyes of the 4 billion people who have never enjoyed what
we have...your goals will consist of your next meal, of finding
enough water to get through to the next day.
No more pennicillin, no more painless dentistry...fiat currrency
will be replaced with bullets, and the rule of law will be
replaced with the authority of brute force. And freedom? The
only freedom will be the freedom of the grave.
