Employ the services of an independent testing, adjusting, and balancingagency meeting the qualifications specified below, to be the single sourceof responsibility to test, adjust, and balance the building mechanicalsystems identified above, to produce the design objectives. Services shallinclude checking installations for conformity to design, measurement andestablishment of the fluid quantities of the mechanical systems as requiredto meet design specifications, and recording and reporting the results.2. The independent testing, adjusting, and balancing agency shall be certifiedby National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) or Associated AirBalance Council (AABC) in those testing and balancing disciplinesrequired for this project.3. In lieu of satisfying the requirements of section 1.4.A.2, the contractorneed not be certified, but rather, have a minimum of ten years experiencewith similar projects. The contractor shall provide suitable evidence ofpast performance, including references, justifying the firm’s capabilities.This does not relieve the contractor from the provisions stipulated insection 1.4.BB. PreBalancing Conference: Prior to beginning of the testing, adjusting, andbalancing procedures, schedule and conduct a conference with representatives ofthe installers of the mechanical and controls systems.
