An additional manuscript available for theDe Ira is the Codex Laurentianus (designated L) of thetwelfth or thirteenth century. The best manuscriptof the De dementia is the Codex Nasarianus (designatedN) in the Palatine collection of the Vatican.This belongs to the eighth or ninth century. Twoothers of the twelfth century are the Codex Amplonianusat Erfurt (designated A), which is not complete,and the Codex Parisinus 8542 (designated T).In the critical notes O is used to designate a consensusof N, A, and other principal manuscripts.For the complete apparatus the editions of Hermesand Hosius may be consulted.The texts adopted for translation are, for theDialogues, that of Hermes, Leipzig, 1905, for theDe Clementia, that of Hosius, Leipzig, IPOO.
