Electric Earth Concerts<br />

$10,000 Peterborough, NH<br />

To support a series of music per<strong>for</strong>mances reaching underserved communities. Proposed guest artists include<br />

violinist Nicholas Kitchen, percussionist/composer Nathan Davis, cabaret vocalist Jennifer Sheehan, and classical<br />

chamber music ensemble Horszowski Trio. Each guest artist will provide up to two free outreach per<strong>for</strong>mances<br />

at venues such as economically disadvantaged schools, communities <strong>for</strong> people with disabilities, and cultural<br />

community centers.<br />

Eminence Area <strong>Arts</strong> Council<br />

$10,000 Eminence, MO<br />

To support <strong>the</strong> design and creation of a public art project in rural Eminence, Missouri. A professional artist will<br />

work with local students to create a mural. The project will be a collaborative ef<strong>for</strong>t with <strong>the</strong> City of Eminence,<br />

<strong>the</strong> Eminence Area Chamber of Commerce, <strong>the</strong> Shannon County Museum Association, and <strong>the</strong> Eminence R1<br />

School District.<br />

Endless Mountain Music Festival (aka EMMF)<br />

$10,000 Wellsboro, PA<br />

To support a series of music per<strong>for</strong>mances and outreach activities serving rural and economically disadvantaged<br />

communities in New York and Pennsylvania. Proposed guest artists include Bram Wijnands, jazz pianist; and Xi Xi<br />

Zhou, classical pianist. Events will include public per<strong>for</strong>mances as well as school concerts.<br />

Erie Philharmonic (aka Erie Phil)<br />

$10,000 Erie, PA<br />

To support <strong>the</strong> presentation of a new work created by composer Philip Glass <strong>for</strong> per<strong>for</strong>mance by pianist Simone<br />

Dinnerstein, and associated activities. Guest artists will include Glass and Dinnerstein, with outreach activities<br />

such as lectures and school presentations, master classes, and recitals serving students in economically<br />

disadvantaged Erie public schools.<br />

Espanola Valley Fiber <strong>Arts</strong> Center (aka EVFAC)<br />

$10,000 Espanola, NM<br />

To support <strong>the</strong> design and creation of a public mural. Professional artist Nani Chacon will work with local youth<br />

to design a mural inspired by <strong>the</strong> topic "Fiber of Nor<strong>the</strong>rn New Mexico's Past & Future," honoring <strong>the</strong> region's<br />

history as a center of wool production and weaving. The work will be installed on <strong>the</strong> exterior of <strong>the</strong> Espanola<br />

Valley Fiber <strong>Arts</strong> Center building. Espanola is a low-income, predominantly Hispanic community in nor<strong>the</strong>rn New<br />

Mexico.<br />

Expanding and Preserving Our Cultural Heritage, Inc. (aka Spady Museum)<br />

$10,000 Delray Beach, FL<br />

To support <strong>the</strong> Spady Living Heritage Festival, and associated activities. Honoring <strong>the</strong> ethnic heritage of Delray<br />

Beach as a historically African-American community, <strong>the</strong> festival will include a variety of music per<strong>for</strong>mances.<br />

Proposed guest artists include American roots musicians Phil Wiggins, Rick Franklin, and Marcus Moore, as well<br />

as dance artist Junious Brickhouse. Additional activities will include pre-festival per<strong>for</strong>mances and outreach at<br />

local venues such as schools.<br />

Fairfax Symphony Orchestra (aka FSO)<br />

$10,000 Fairfax, VA<br />

Some details of <strong>the</strong> projects listed are subject to change, contingent upon prior <strong>Arts</strong> <strong>Endowment</strong> approval. In<strong>for</strong>mation is current as of<br />
