To support <strong>the</strong> publication of "One Teen Story." Geared to readers of young adult fiction, <strong>the</strong> publication follows<br />
a unique model of distributng one new short story to subscribers each month. Each story, which goes through a<br />
rigorous editorial process, is published as a chapbook with an illustrated cover and is available in both print and<br />
electronic <strong>for</strong>mats.<br />
Opojaz, Inc. (aka Boulevard)<br />
$10,000 Saint Louis, MO<br />
To support <strong>the</strong> publication and promotion of <strong>the</strong> magazine "Boulevard." The magazine features fiction, poetry,<br />
essays, and original contemporary artwork, as well as a symposium that focuses on a specific cultural question<br />
or questions. The magazine's marketing plan includes promoting <strong>the</strong> issues through its website, social media,<br />
and in literary outlets, among o<strong>the</strong>r means.<br />
Orion Society (aka Orion Magazine)<br />
$25,000 Great Barrington, MA<br />
To support <strong>the</strong> publication of "Orion Magazine." Focusing on <strong>the</strong> genre of modern American environmental<br />
literature, <strong>the</strong> magazine features poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. The magazine will be published in both<br />
print and electronic <strong>for</strong>mats, and will be promoted at orionmagazine.org and through social media, among o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
means.<br />
Ox<strong>for</strong>d American Literary Project (aka The Ox<strong>for</strong>d American)<br />
$25,000 Little Rock, AR<br />
To support <strong>the</strong> publication and promotion of <strong>the</strong> magazine "Ox<strong>for</strong>d American" and new content online at<br />
ox<strong>for</strong>damerican.org. Exploring <strong>the</strong> complexity and vitality of <strong>the</strong> American South, <strong>the</strong> magazine publishes poetry,<br />
fiction, creative nonfiction, and criticism by emerging and established authors. The magazine plans to feaure<br />
new content on its website every weekday, and promote its work through social media and a weekly e-<br />
newsletter, among o<strong>the</strong>r means.<br />
RFCUNY The Graduate Center<br />

To support <strong>the</strong> publication and promotion of chapbooks through <strong>the</strong> "Lost & Found" series. The series features<br />
lost works by American poets, helping <strong>the</strong>se voices to remain a part of our cultural identity and conversation.<br />
The chapbooks will include work such as <strong>the</strong> notebooks of writer and Native American education activist Jack<br />
Forbes; teaching materials and <strong>the</strong>ory by poets June Jordan, Audre Lorde, and Toni Cade Bambara; personal<br />
writing on daily life and poetics by poet Thom Gunn; and writings about grief by Diane di Prima.<br />
Rain Taxi, Inc. (aka Rain Taxi Review of Books)<br />
$15,000 Minneapolis, MN<br />
To support <strong>the</strong> publication and promotion of "Rain Taxi Review of Books" in print and online at raintaxi.com.<br />
With a focus on aes<strong>the</strong>tically adventurous literature, <strong>the</strong> magazine features reviews of fiction, literary<br />
nonfiction, poetry, and graphic novels, and serves as a resource <strong>for</strong> readers to discover new works of literary<br />
merit. Quarterly print issues are distributed-in many cases, free-of-charge-to bookstores, literary centers, writing<br />
conferences, and book festivals across <strong>the</strong> country.<br />
