Sendezeit ist 07.00 bis 09.00 Uhr UTC auf 10971 horizontal, 27500, 3/4. Es
wird unter der Kennung "MRTV" gesendet. TVK beginnt um 07.00 UTC mit einer
Nachrichtensendung, anschliessend gibt es kulturelle Programme und
Quizshows. Gegen 0845 UT gibt es einige Minuten englischsprachige
Nachrichten.

Oct 12, Surprisingly good signal in Spanish. Sub-harmonic of 9754.98 kHz.

transmitter on 6070: We are working on a replacement from a Eu[r]opean
supplier, but it does not yet have type approval to be used in North

COSTA RICA 5930 Radio Exterior Espana, at 1130-1145 UT. Noted
individuals in Spanish language comments. Flute and drum music as fillers
between comments. Mentions of "Espana" and "France". Comments seemed to be
political. Could not find this freq and time for REE's relay from Costa
Rica in any of my hardcopy references. Although the signal was fair, the
splatter down here crushed REE's signal at times. ID and address given at
1149 UT as well as the email address. Not certain about this being relayed
via Costa Rica, but that would be the logical place for this time of day.

5930 1000-1300 12 CRI 100kW 110degr SPANISH E REE
17850/18106 On Oct 13 made further chex of the spurs REE Cariari 17850 is
outputting, causing complaints from '17 m' hams. As outpointed in dxld, on
Saturdays only this frequency runs as late as 2300 UT, while 17595 kHz
direct from Spain stops at 2100 UT.
Tuned in at 2024 to find 17595 direct, not in synch with satellite-delayed
17850, but 17595 with het from the spur, matching 18106, which was in
synch with 17850. Rechecked at 2204, when the direct 17595 signal had
gone, I could compare the spurs more directly: these are very strange;
each seems to consist of at least two carriers beating against each other,
producing a slightly varying het depending on modulation, but of the same
pitch on both.
The 18106 signal was somewhat stronger than 17594, contrary to the day
before. Meanwhile, the modulation on 17850 itself sounded normal, which is
to say, undermodulated and somewhat muffled, but with no distortion or
splatter in the immediate area. Whenever checked, they were talking about
silly ball games, this being a Saturday evening.
