UK transmitter maps. B<strong>BC</strong>, commercial and LPAM MW transmitter locations are<br />

mapped using Google Maps at<br />

In most cases the markers are located right at the mast (or midway between<br />

a 2 or 4 mast array).<br />

It's helped me target some channels eg chasing LPAM stations - noting of<br />

course that some of the University stations go off-air during the summer<br />

vacation, giving even more dx opportunities.<br />

IBB-Delano: "Another international b/cing SW site is to close at the end<br />

of the current SW<strong>BC</strong> season. The American Fe<strong>der</strong>ation of Govt Employees,<br />

Local 1812, says that the BBG has ancd the closure of the Delano,<br />

California xmtng stn. The closure is scheduled for Oct 30, <strong>2007</strong> [Sic.<br />

Probably means Sunday 28 October. Andy Sennitt].<br />

Employees will remain on the payroll until <strong>Jan</strong> 5, 2008. This news hardly<br />

comes as a surprise, as the closure has been rumoured for months. Kim<br />

Andrew Elliott notes that the site is currently used for R. Marti, VOA<br />

Spanish and Creole, and Special English to LA."<br />
