KOREA D.P.R. Cf. bc-dx 834 about the station on 4450 kHz till 1355 UT
close/down it is probably Radio AINDF // 4557 kHz in Korean without
jamming, Nov 28.
(Rumen Pankov-BUL, wwdxc BC-DX Nov 28)
[Rep of and D.P.R.] 3985 Seaching for Indonesian stn I found two strange
signals accompanied on 3985 at 1445-1605 UT, featuring radio Echo of Hope
(presumed) in Korean plus Voice of Korea (seems as a jammer) also in
Korean ending with Nat. Anthem at 1448-1452 UT. Later only Echo of Hope
observed.
>From 1500 UT and from 1600 UT again VOKorea in Korean with usual
procedure: IS, ID, Nat. Anthem etc. Because the prgr of VOKorea was not
the same as on other SW freqs. I think it is recorded programme. Checked
at 1700 UT I found pray and sermon of IRIB Iran, all on Nov 17.
(for our ears) monotonuos a-capella singing by YL; fair level here.
6130 National Radio Vientiane observed s/on 2156 with sung anthem (pres.)
and anncts incl. frequencies, off at 2322; at 0008 on again and observed
LIBERIA 4760 ELWA is back on for the weekend, assuming no technical
problems. We added audio processing so audio should be more consistent.
6070 tests may begin on next Monday or Tuesday. The 6070 antenna is ready,
but the transmitter output networks haven't been tuned yet for that band.
(John Stanley, at ELWA, dxld Nov 23)
We were on 4760 AM and PM through Tuesday AM. Now on 6070 and probably
will be for a week. Then, based on listener comments will decide on when
to use which frequency. Many receivers here do not cover 60 meters, but 49
has much more QRM. Still on 2 kW, but gradually going up to 5 kW in the
next few days if nothing blows up. Times are 0500 to 0900 and 1600 to 2300
UT.
(John Stanley-LBR ELWA, dxld, Nov 28)
Previously had been on usually until around 2300 UT. (gh)
