1127 brief song anmnt, and into "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden". More
of the same w/70's Pops. Good. The DRM signal on 7145 was strong.

NIGER 9705 LV du Sahel, Niamey, 2145-2158*, Aug 12, local music, French
talk. Koran at 2151-2157. Sign off with choral National Anthem. Poor. Weak
with adjacent channel splatter. Normal sign off time is 2300 but on
Sundays they sign off at 2200 UT.

PNG I have seen reports that NBC Port Moresby is back on air on 4890 /
9675 kHz. At 1000 UTC today, I can't hear them on either of those
frequencies.
However, I will be "next door" in Port Douglas, North Queensland for 10
days from next Saturday (18 August) and I'll see if I can hear them there.
PS: Still no sign of SIBC on 5020 kHz!

3334.97 R. East Sepik at 1014-1033 UT. "Baby When You Talk to Me" by The
Outfield, then live M anncr w/song anmnt, short canned ad bhy W along
w/same live M mentioning 5 o'oclock and PNG, then back to mx w/pleasant
island Pop song, 1020 UT M anncr again w/song anmnts, and cont. mx w/"More
Than a Feeling" by Boston. Has drifted down from the usual 3335 kHz since
the last time I've hrd it. Best PNG on 90 meters. Also noted the 120 mb
Aussies doing well, 2850 kHz N. Korea, and a signal from pres. RRI
Gorontalo on 3266.44 kHz.

PERU 5939.2v at 0332-1157, R Melodia, Arequipa. Melodia present during
the entire recording, drifting back and forth between 5939.27 to 5939.29.
Signal improved close to 1103 sunrise at transmitter with Huaynos and
indigenous music. Began fading not along after 1120 Memphis sunrise. Poor.
