They've changed schedule yet again on an odd date. After Bryan Clark's DX news about Micronesia, Vanuatu, Myanmar and CFVP, Adrian Sainsbury explained that RNZI has been off the air a lot the last few weeks to repair antenna damage. This can only be done in the local daytime and when weather is good. Something about the antenna being 17 meters high, requiring the usage of an expensive huge crane. For some reason they decided because of this they should go ahead and start the summer transmission schedule now instead of waiting until Oct 28. He gave the schedule but I could not copy all the numbers due to static crashes from slow-moving storms in eastern OK. Despite appearances, the website schedule has been updated, even tho it is still dated effective August 24! I wonder why I can hear it in Europe but not noticed in Lahore. (later) Today, 10 Oct between 1330 and 1400 the 9380 R Pakistan splatters and hash were in minimum. So not much to complain except of course the modulation quality, but that wasn't the subject. The signal is not a "clean" one, but strength here is similar to how 9380 is being heard in Lahore. The last two days I've been monitoring 9 MHz and - except for some local noise - didn't notice any disturbance to stations using 9345 RNW via TAC, 9355 something weak in Chinese, 9360 VoR via Dushanbe, something weak on 9385 and BBC via Dushanbe on 9395. And nothing on empty channels either. Maybe the PAK 9380 signal is stronger in Finland and Bulgaria than it is here at my location (and in Lahore), and hence the unwanted hash becomes audible as a result? (Noel R.
