CHINA Firedrake: was able to receive on MW 1053 kHz at 1735-1845 and //
1557 kHz. There is not a monitoring break [at hourtop]. First noted on
Aug. 12 on 1053 kHz at 1835-1845, KO'ed JOAR Nagoya. The target station is
unidentified.

7274.99 CNR8/PBS Xinjiang, Urumqui, Aug 30 *0603-0714* and *0758-1215 -
possibly PBS Xinjiang relaying CNR8 here in presumed Uighar from *0603
s/on with program in progress. Poor with monologues by man and woman,
Asian music and suddenly off at 0714*. Back on at 0738 w/ OC until PBS
Xinjiang IS at 0758. Major QRM from DW DRM via Wooferton at 0800 until it
faded out around 0850. Still audible at 1215 end of SDR recording.
Aoki lists PBS Xinjiang here from 0300-1200 relaying CNR8 from 0600-0700,
and Eibi has CNR8 from 0600-0700 and PBS Xinjiang from 0700-1500 and
finally HFCC lists Urumqui here from 2300-1800.

CONGO (KINSHASA) 5066.34 (pres) R Candip, Bunia, Aug 28 at *0402 - S-on
with traditional African vocal by female into talk by man in possibly
French at 0405, inaudible from 0410. Threshold audio, best at s/on and
steadily fading as Bunia sunrise was 0357 UTC.

polit. ephemerides, music; 15332. While that, early evening reception is
not that good, at least as yet, e.g. 2219-..., 28 Aug, the same sort of
menu in the prgr; 34332, QRM de BEN + UNID, possibly PRU.

DOMINICAN REP 6025.08 R. Amanecer, Santo Domingo (presumed), at 0240-
0400:45* UT on August 29, religious programming in Spanish, segments of
preaching and religious music/singing, mostly poor, brief periods of fair
reception. Did not note any sign-off announcements. Was anticipating their
usual ID and choral anthem at sign-off, but was just non-stop religious
singing from 0347 till suddenly off). Could not make out any ID, but am
fairly certain it's them. I last heard this one over two years ago, so
this was a nice surprise.

Noted here this eveving around 2342 UTC on 6025 kHz with fair signal until
Sweden squeezed them at their *2359. Later noted again with talks and
music but mixing with Iran around 0030. I have checked this frequency many
times in recent months with nothing from them. Budapest and Iran usually
dominated the channel. Thanks for spotting this reactivation.
