ICELAND The Icelandic public broadcaster RUV has still not made a final
decision about the date for the closure of the news relays on shortwave.
The Gufunes Telecommunications Centre in Reykjavik which transmits the RUV
news said today that it is still waiting for a note from RUV. Until then,
the transmissions will continue; schedule and frequencies are unchanged
from earlier seasons: To Europe: 1215-1300 on 13865, 1755-1825 on 12115;
to North America: 1410-1440 and 1835-1905 on 13865, 2300-2335 UT on 12115
kHz.

INDONESIA 11784.88 RRI Jakarta Cimanggis left 11860 kHz channel at
[2300-]1100-1600 UT a month ago or so. Now discovered by Roland Schulze on
11784.88 kHz, he phoned me last Friday. From 1100-1400 UT terrible mess on
this channel, due of co-ch Udorn Thani in Mandarin and accompanied China
mainland jamming. Today RRI tiny signal of S=2 only, lousy condition.
11784.88 is also in use by foreign service VoINS Jakarta at 1600-2100 UT.
