v15184.71 Came across of martial soldier chorus music in 1500-1600 UT
portion, and heard Voice of Korea Pyongyang stn ID at 1555 UT in English.
Seemingly Voice of Korea's North American service replaced 9335 by 15185v
channel? Scheduled 1300-1700 UT, 13 En, 14 Fr, 15 En, 16 Fr, 1700-1750
Kor.
At 1547 UT Vatican Radio's Asian sce came on co-channel 15185 kHz, so a
290 Hertz terrible heterodyne pitch noted then. Parallel freq for Korean
language outlet noted at 1700-1756 UT on 11709.92 kHz also to NoAM.
(wb, wwdxc BC-DX June 28)
Monitoring today July 1st confirmed my note of Thursday June 28th, that
Voice of Korea replaced 9335 by v15185 kHz channel to NoAm at 1300 to 1750
UT slot.
Nothing heard on 9335 today. Programm to NoAm at 1300-1750 UT on
15186.59 at 1407
KRE 13759.89 at 0805 UT, on July 3rd.
LIBYA/FRANCE [non?]. You might like to try what appear to be FOUR
Libyan(?) transmitters on air at 1730 UT. The usual 15660 & 11835 are
carrying French while 15650 kHz is on air again (it closed this morning
sometime around 1100 UT) and this has Libyan music. And 15550 has a speech
in alternating Arabic and French. 15660 & 11835 are much stronger than
15650 & 15550 kHz.
(Noel R. Green-UK, dxld June 27)
15650 tentative, Libya in Arabic with Saharan music around 0700-0900 UT,
weak and fluttery like ISS France S=3 signal.
(wb, wwdxc BC-DX June 29)
This (programme) is from Libya: I managed to record a short clip of phone
discussion which probably went accidentally on the air. Tarek could
recognise the dialect as Libyan.
(Mauno Ritola-FIN, July 1)
I guess both locations for LBY broadcasts are in use:
ISS France tx relay site and two newly SW senders on Libyan soil.
15550 1800-2000 UT via ISS France side, tiny signal S=3-5 here in Germany.
9590 and 11835 from 1900 in Hausa via Libya. see below
11835 and 15550 kHz from Libya, latter when 9590 Hausa bc ends.
15550 S=9+20 dB at 2055 UT
11835 S=8-9 dB at 2100 UT
