CANADA 6160 CKZU Vancouver 1335-1341 Aug 17. Last minute of local nx;
ID as CBC Radio one and mentioning 690 frequency only; traffic at 1336,
followed by weather at 1337, including temps for Abbotsford, Nanaimo,
Victoria, and other burgs; sports at 1338, followed by more features on
"Early Edition"; PDT time checks. Good signal but slowly deteriorating.

over to Chinese at 1008 in mid-stream giving e-mail addr. China Wx at 1008
including several cities. Very strong of course!! Off freq.

Tchad back on 6165? Aug 16 was checking for distorted Tchad on appr 7257
but no trace of it at 1825 UT. Instead there was a station under Croatia
on 6165 with what sounds like a similar program Tchad used to have
(modulation ok).
Worth to check if Tchad is back home again or is this some other station.
Distorted signal around 7257 was still audible a day or two ago.

Wonder if you have anything further about Chad back on 6165 or at least
gone from 7257v. I still haven't heard it around 7260 again in the 0500-
0600 period, and of course 6165 is out of the question with RN there.

I haven't got much time to listen to the radio at the moment. But y'day,
the 19th after 1800 UT there was again a Chad-sounding station under
Croatia with normal modulation quality. But no positive ID yet. Maybe you
could ask Tarek to confirm. Or maybe Chris Greenway, if he's in UK maybe
some of his friends in East Africa could check 6165 kHz. Haven't noticed
distorted signal anymore after my first posting on/around 7257.
