is broadcasting news from the vicinity of Ukraine.<br />

MOLDOVA. From the beginning of July, the Trans-Dnistern Moldovian Radio<br />

from Tiraspol has expanded its broadcasting time from 1 to 16 hours on the<br />

mediumwave frequency of 549 kHz. The transmitter of 150 kW is located in<br />

Grigoriopol, and the broadcasting schedule consists of local programmes<br />

mainly in the Russian language, a few short programmes during the day in<br />

the Romanian and Ukrainian languages, and also consists of the relaying of<br />

the Russian radio station "Mayak". Transmissions are on the air from <strong>05</strong>.00<br />

to 21.00.<br />
