song, jammed, 32332, heard // 3880 kHz with weaker signal and also jammed<br />

(21221). Both jammers continued till after 16<strong>05</strong> UT.<br />

6335 Voice of Iraqi Kurdistan _ verified an electronic report sent to the<br />

Kurdistan Democratic Party-Iraq's Information Office in 45 minutes from<br />

Alex Atroushi<br />

He describes the station as "the first free radio for the Kurds" and that<br />

it was "established in Sep 28-1963 during the September revolution of the<br />

Kurdistan." Also, he refers to the station without the word "Iraqi" in the<br />

title. He goes on to note: "At the beginning, the equipment's used were a<br />

number of old military wireless sets joint together to form a short wave<br />

sen<strong>der</strong>. The center of broadcasting was a cave deep in a Kurdistan mountain<br />

Salah-Addin north of Erbil. The radio station was a target of Iraqi air
