AUSTRALIA CVC is running some DRM tests from Darwin, Australia to Japan,
on 10, 11 and 12 December:
0400-0600 UT 17835 kHz
0630-1000 UT 17780 kHz DRM transmit power is around 80 kW, and the
antenna is HRS4/4/.5 pointing at 3 deg (340+23deg slew).

Northern Territory coastal waters forecast; switched to South Australia
coastal waters forecast at 1344; off at 1351. Good signal.

RA continues to be inaudible on its normally potent 31m frequencies: Dec
10 at 1347 UT could not hear on 9580 or 9590, but OK on 6020. Presumably
near Summer Solstice, the 9 MHz signals are getting absorbed rather than
refracted where the first hop would normally be in our direxion, the pre-
sunrise MUF being at its lowest, altho one might otherwise conclude that
they are no longer on the air at all.

1900 UT on 9475 kHz. wb.
BELARUS This season Belarussian Radio new on 7360 and 7390 kHz in
Belarus from 1200 on until 1800 UT.
Also new 1600-1800 on 6090 (QRM CHN and BBC Farsi) // 6115 in Belarussian
with other programme.
From 1805 until 2400 UT 6090, 7360 and 7390 Polish, German, English and
Russian international service. Same programme on 7420 but very weak from
defective tx.

BHUTAN Last night I heard Radio Bhutan from sign at 0001 UT on 6035 kHz
with local mx, 0003 voice annr, from 0005 drums mx, no QRM but weak.

CHINA 4750 PBS Hailar (tent) on Dec 8, with Chinese classical mx and
drama from 0740 UT tune. Pop vocals at 0750 w/ man ann. Unusual band condx
tonight - never have hrd China before this early, especially on 60 mb.
Both Central PBS Hailar and Qinghai PBS Xining listed here in 2008 PWBR,
but only CPBS Hailar for this time period. WRTH 2007 shows CNR Nanning on
this channel.? SINPO 34433 w/ QRM from CODAR and hvy QSB.

5240 Xizang PBS, Lhasa excellent signal 2340-2350 UT with bass driven
