JAPAN [non, UK/AFS/ASC c.f. bcdx #822 ] Radio Japan shortwave schedule
changes during re-engineering Radio Japan shortwave schedule changes
during re-engineering. Radio Japan advises on its website that some of its
shortwave transmissions will change site and/or frequency due to re-
engineering of its transmission facilities.
The Arabic transmission at 0700-0730 UTC currently on 15220 kHz via
Ascension Island will move to Meyerton (South Africa) from 29 August
onwards. From 28 October the site changes again to Rampisham (UK) and the
frequency will change to 9440 kHz.
The broadcast in Japanese at 2200-2300 UTC via Ascension Island will
change its frequency from 9655 kHz to 11955 kHz from 29 August onwards.
(NHK Online via RNW MN Aug 24)
More on this: This is on the Radio Japan website
Service Update. NHK WORLD.
Some of the transmission for NHK World Radio Japan will tentatively change
the sites and the frequency due to re-engineering of transmission
facilities.
Also, Radio Japan will have a reduced schedule to Oceania from 1 October
as follows, according to an email they sent me:
0900-0930 UTC in English on 11890 kHz.
1200-1230 UTC in English on 9625 kHz.
2000-2200 UTC in japanese on 13640 kHz.
2200-2220 UTC in English on 13640 kHz.
All these transmissions are from Japan according to the ITU/HFCC schedule.
I guess other services are to have major changes as well, but I don't know
what they are yet.
