a) the arm lift up vertically, imposing a halt to all passengers, save those engaged in a crossroad<br />

who must evacuate it;<br />

b) the arm or arms str<strong>et</strong>ched out horizontally imposing stoppage for users coming from all<br />

directions crossing the one shown by the str<strong>et</strong>ched arm or arms;<br />

c) the transversal swaying of a red light, imposing stoppage to users towards whom the light is<br />

directed;<br />

3. Every user must give proof of his i<strong>de</strong>ntity when he is asked for it by a qualified agent on the<br />

occasion of an offence against this Decree or on the occasion of an acci<strong>de</strong>nt.<br />

4.. Every driver of a stationary or parked vehicle must move it as soon as a qualified agent<br />

or<strong>de</strong>rs him to do so.<br />

5. Every user must conform to the signs ma<strong>de</strong> to control the traffic, once these signs are regular<br />

in shape and visible enough..<br />

6. The or<strong>de</strong>rs of a qualified agent prevall over the sign posts.<br />

Chapter 6. DRIVING LICENCE<br />

Section 1. National Driving Licence<br />

Article 6:<br />

1. Nobody can drive, on the public highway, an automotive vehicle if he is not holding and<br />

carrying a driving licence issued by the National Police.<br />

The mo<strong>de</strong>l and modalities of the driving licence are fixed by a <strong>de</strong>cree of the Minister holding<br />

Transport in his ambit on request of the Road Security National Committee. The driver must<br />

immediately show such a licence when he is asked for it by a qualified agent.<br />

2. The licence indicates the category (ies) of the vehicle for which it is valid.<br />

The category of vehicles for which it is necessary to g<strong>et</strong> a licence are the following:<br />

A: Motorcycles and motor tricycles with or without si<strong>de</strong>-car;<br />

B: Automobile vehicles built for the transport of persons and having in addition to the driver's<br />

seat, a maximum eight seats; Automobile vehicles affected to the transport of goods and having<br />

a 5.000 kg authorised maximum weight.<br />

- Motor quadricycles<br />

To vehicles of this category may be coupled a light traller with one axle.<br />

C: Automobile vehicles affected to the transport of things and having an authorised maximum<br />

weight exceeding 5000 kg to vehicles of this category can be coupled a light traller.<br />

D: Automobile vehicles built for the transport of persons and having in addition to the driver's<br />

seat, more than eight seats.<br />

E: Line of vehicles the hauler of which is inclu<strong>de</strong>d in one of the categories B,C,D for which the<br />

driver is enable and traller of which has more than 750 kg authorised maximum weight.<br />

F: Special machines<br />

3. The automobile vehicles circulating on the public highway which are not inclu<strong>de</strong>d in any of<br />

the categories specified here-above, such as agricultural or industrial mobile material, are<br />

classified whatever their weight , in category B.<br />

4. The driving licence is issued for an unlimited validity after the following tests have been<br />

satisfactorily passed and a medical certificate issued by a registered doctor has been han<strong>de</strong>d<br />

over in conformity with the provisions of paragraph 8 of this Article:
