When these lights are placed at back of the vehicle they should not emit luminous rays towards<br />

the back.<br />

e) Vehicles the width of which does not exceed 2.10 m<strong>et</strong>res may be equipped with gauge lights.<br />

f) Front signalling of a vehicle can be compl<strong>et</strong>ed with a white or yellow front light, directed<br />

backwards and illuminating the front part of the vehicle. This light must not hamper either the<br />

vehicle driver or other drivers.<br />

g) Every motor vehicle or traller pulled by such a vehicle shall be provi<strong>de</strong>d with a green light<br />

permitting the driver to signal that he has noticed the warning of the person who is ready to<br />

overtake him. This light must be s<strong>et</strong> at the back left edge of the vehicle.<br />

h) Agricultural vehicles and specialised gadg<strong>et</strong>s used by works' foremen shall not be provi<strong>de</strong>d<br />

with lights provi<strong>de</strong>d for in paragraph one of this Article when they do not move b<strong>et</strong>ween<br />

nightfall and daybreak.<br />

i ) Buses assigned to transport school children shall be provi<strong>de</strong>d with two flashing orange lights,<br />

s<strong>et</strong> one in front, the other at the back of the vehicle, in or<strong>de</strong>r to signal stops and to recommend<br />

caution. These lights' use is limited to 100 m<strong>et</strong>res away from the stopping point.<br />

Section 2. Particular rules<br />

Article 77:<br />

1. Position lights of white or yellow colour placed in front of the vehicle and red position lights<br />

placed at the back of the vehicle must, without dazzling or holding up other drivers, be visible at<br />

night, by fine weather, at a minimum distance of 300 m<strong>et</strong>res, respectively from the front and the<br />

back of the vehicle.<br />

However, for the back lights of bicycles or mopeds, this distance ii reduced to 100 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

2. Reflectors must be seen at night, by fine weather, by the driver of another vehicle at 150<br />

m<strong>et</strong>res, when they are illuminated by road lights of this vehicle.<br />

Reflectors placed at the back of trallers must have the form of an equilateral triangle of 0.15<br />

m<strong>et</strong>res to 0.20 m<strong>et</strong>res of sizes, of which one of the summits is directed upwards, the opposite<br />

si<strong>de</strong> being horizontal. Trallers, the overall width of which does not exceed 0.80 m<strong>et</strong>res may be<br />

provi<strong>de</strong>d only with one reflector if they are coupled up to a motorbike without a si<strong>de</strong> car.<br />

Reflectors placed on all vehicles other than a traller can not be of a triangular shape.<br />

3. The outer edge of the illuminating area of the front and back position lights and of the front<br />

and back reflectors must be at less than 0.40 m<strong>et</strong>res from the end of the overall width of the<br />

vehicle.<br />

4. The highest point of the illuminating area of the front and back position lights can not be at<br />

more than 1.90 m<strong>et</strong>res above the ground, the vehicle being unloa<strong>de</strong>d.<br />

For reflectors, this height can not be over 1.20 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

5. Loading lights must be visible at night by fine weather by the driver of a vehicle being at<br />

least at 200 m<strong>et</strong>res away.<br />

6. Parking lights must emit a white light forwards and a red light backwards and me<strong>et</strong><br />

conditions. of visibility required of the front and back position lights.<br />
