3. Yoked vehicles must be accompanied by as many conveyors as nee<strong>de</strong>d for ensuring traffic<br />

security.<br />

In any case, when the number of yoked animals is superior to five, the driver of the vehicle will<br />

be assisted by a conveyor<br />

4. When a second vehicle is tralled by a yoked vehicle and that the length of the line overpasses<br />

18 m<strong>et</strong>res exclusive of the first vehicle shaft, the second vehicle must be accompanied by a<br />

conveyor.<br />

5. When the length of the loading of a truck exceeds 12 m<strong>et</strong>res, a conveyor must follow the<br />

vehicle on foot.<br />

Section 4. Barrows-Wheelbarrows<br />

Article 52:<br />

1. When a barrow or its loading does not allow him sufficient front visibility the driver must<br />

pull his vehicle.<br />

2. Shown pavements are accessible to barrows when the public highway is not provi<strong>de</strong>d with a<br />

road level pavement or when the latter is impassable.<br />

Section 5. Bicycles- Scooters and Motorcycles<br />

Article 53:<br />

1. It is forbid<strong>de</strong>n to bicycle and scooter drivers:<br />

a) to drive:<br />

- without holding the handlebar;<br />

- with fe<strong>et</strong> not on pedals;<br />

- while keeping an animal on a lead;<br />

- while being tralled;<br />

- while carrying, by pulling or pushing hin<strong>de</strong>ring objects in conducting the vehicle or dangerous<br />

for other users of the public highway;<br />

b) to use the roadway when there is a passable cycle lane;<br />

c) to exceed a 40 km/h speed when they use a cycle lane;<br />

d) to use acoustic warning signs other than the <strong>de</strong>vice provi<strong>de</strong>d for in Article 83; e) to circulate<br />

b<strong>et</strong>ween two lines of vehicles.<br />

2. By <strong>de</strong>rogation to the provisions of Article 12 of this Decree, the bicycle and scooter drivers<br />

using the roadway can drive in pairs abreast.<br />

Anyway, they must drive in lines in built-up areas after suns<strong>et</strong> and at the approach of another<br />

self propelling vehicle or of a yoked vehicle.<br />

3. Drivers and passengers of scooters and motorcycles must wear helm<strong>et</strong>s especially conceived<br />

for that purpose, the helm<strong>et</strong> must be a<strong>de</strong>quately fastened.<br />

4. Bicycle, scooter, and motorcycle drivers must mount their vehicles and when necessary carry<br />

another person, in conformity with the maker's instructions for use.<br />

5. Bicycle and scooter drivers are submitted to pe<strong>de</strong>strians' rules when they drive their vehicles<br />

without mounting them.<br />

6. Provisions of this Article are not applicable to elements of the Armed Forces circulating in
