5. In agglomerations, danger signals must be placed in the immediate vicinity of the dangerous<br />

areas.<br />

However, signals n°A,6; A11 and A, 16 must be placed at a reasonable distance from the danger<br />

areas and distance must be shown by an additional signal n° F, 1.<br />

6. When a danger signal is straight above or below a public way opening, an additional signal<br />

constituted of an arrow of black colour may show the direction of the dangerous place if the<br />

latter is located on the mentioned public way.<br />

Article 95:<br />

Signal n° A, 22 may be placed on a public way only if all the other ways converging on the<br />

junction are provi<strong>de</strong>d with signal n° B, 1, B,2a or B,2b.<br />

Article 96:<br />

Any danger not <strong>de</strong>fined by a symbol as mentioned in Annex I of this Decree may be signalled<br />

by an additional signal showing the nature of the danger, or be signalled by means of an<br />

appropriate symbol not mentioned in the above annex.<br />

Section 2. Prohibition and Obligation signals<br />

Article 97:<br />

1. Signals indicating to users an interdiction or an obligation have the form of a disc.<br />

This disc is bor<strong>de</strong>red with red with white bottom when signals mark a prohibition, except for<br />

the signals prohibiting to stop or to park, the bottom of which is blue.<br />

The disc is of blue colour when the signal marks an obligation.<br />

2. Symbols clarifying the nature of the prohibition or obligation are reproduced in Annexes 2<br />

and 3 of this Decree.<br />

3. Additional signals may notify general restrictions or exceptions or particular prohibitions or<br />

obligations.<br />

Article 98:<br />

Prohibition and obligation signals concern only that part of the public way comprised b<strong>et</strong>ween<br />

the place where they are placed and the next junction, on the si<strong>de</strong> of the way on which they are<br />

placed.<br />

Article 99:<br />

1. Prohibition signals are placed on the right si<strong>de</strong> of the direction followed by the concerned<br />

users, where the areas' layout justify it, a second signal, similar to that which is placed on the<br />

right, may be placed on the left si<strong>de</strong>.<br />

2. Signals n° C,20 a (alternating parking) and n° C,20 b (alternating stop and parking) must be<br />

placed on each of the way si<strong>de</strong>s they concern, in sufficient number to be perfectly visible from<br />

one signal to the other.<br />

In any case, distance b<strong>et</strong>ween two of the above mentioned signals cannot exceed 100 m<strong>et</strong>res.
