names do not occupy more than the sixth of the total surface of the signal.<br />

Article 118:<br />

1. It is prohibited to erect on the public way panels, signs or other <strong>de</strong>vices which dazzle drivers,<br />

which cause them to make errors, which represent or imitate, even partially, traffic signals,<br />

which at distance may be consi<strong>de</strong>red as signals or constitute in any other way a nuisance to the<br />

efficacy of regulation signals.<br />

2. It is prohibited to give a red or green luminosity to any panel, sign or <strong>de</strong>vice s<strong>et</strong>-up within a<br />

radius of 75 m<strong>et</strong>res , from a luminous road signal at less than 7 m<strong>et</strong>res above the ground.<br />

Article 119:<br />

Bor<strong>de</strong>rs of the public highway or of the roadway must be signalled by reflectors.<br />

These <strong>de</strong>vices must be so s<strong>et</strong>-up as to l<strong>et</strong> users see on their right the red or orange reflectors<br />

only and on their left the white ones only.<br />

Article 120:<br />

1. Cases especially referred to by this Decree except, the signalling provi<strong>de</strong>d for by this Decree<br />

can be s<strong>et</strong>-up on, the public highway only by authorities so entitled.<br />

When main roads are obstructed, <strong>police</strong> services may, in case of emergency, erect signals meant<br />

to <strong>de</strong>viate or to temporarily channel traffic; in these circumstances, these signals must be taken<br />

away as soon as traffic comes back to normal.<br />

Signals used will be in conformity with one of mo<strong>de</strong>ls n° A,30 and A,31 shown in Annex n* 1<br />

of this Decree.<br />

2. I t is prohibited to use signals relating to road traffic for other ends than those provi<strong>de</strong>d for by<br />

these rules and regulations.<br />

3. Only signalling <strong>de</strong>fined by this Decree may be used in or<strong>de</strong>r to give users indications related<br />

to it.<br />

Part 5. VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION<br />

Chapter 1. VEHICLE REGISTRATION<br />

Article 121:<br />

1. Hereby s<strong>et</strong> up are five " registrations categories" of motor vehicles, trallers and semi-trallers,<br />

except light trallers:<br />

a) the private vehicles category;<br />

b) the diplomatic missions' vehicles and vehicles of organisations which are beneficiary of a<br />

diplomatic immunity in tax and customs matters as well as those of their members;<br />

c) the category of vehicles of the Central Administration, of the Decentralised Public Services,<br />

and of State projects;<br />

d) the category of vehicles of the Armed Forces;<br />

e) the category of vehicles of the National Police; and f) the category of vehicles on a temporary
