b) When the loading is constituted as above and forwar<strong>de</strong>d within a radius of 25 km from the<br />

place of loading, its width can reach 3 m<strong>et</strong>res except in built-up areas.<br />

In the cases provi<strong>de</strong>d for at litteras a) and b) here-above, no rigid support can be so placed that<br />

any of its parts be at a distance superior to 1.25 m<strong>et</strong>res from the longitudinal symm<strong>et</strong>ry of the<br />

vehicle.<br />

2. Length: Without prejudice to provisions relating to the transport of pieces of great length,<br />

loading can not project beyond the edge of the vehicles or when an animal draught vehicle is<br />

concerned the heads of the animals.<br />

3. Height: 4 m<strong>et</strong>res, except with particular authorisation issued by the Minister having<br />

transports in his duties or by the Prefect in the case of exceptional transport to be effected on the<br />

territory of one province.<br />

Article 62:<br />

1. When a vehicle is loa<strong>de</strong>d with indivisible pieces of sizeable length, loading can not project<br />

beyond the back edge of the vehicle by more than 3 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

2. Pieces of sizeable length must be tightly attached tog<strong>et</strong>her and to the vehicle so as not to<br />

project beyond the farthest lateral contour of the vehicle due to the swaying.<br />

Article 63:<br />

When loading projects beyond the back edge of the vehicle by more than one m<strong>et</strong>re the most<br />

accented protrusion must be signalised:<br />

- at daytime, by a piece of red cloth of 50 cms at each si<strong>de</strong>;<br />

- when lighting of the vehicle is required, by a red light and a red reflector.<br />

The <strong>de</strong>vices used for signalling the back edge of a loading can not be placed at more than 1.55<br />

m<strong>et</strong>res above the ground.<br />

Article 64:<br />

1. The width of the loading on bicycles, mobyl<strong>et</strong>tes and trallers pulled by these vehicles can not<br />

exceed 0.75 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

2. a) The width of the loading on motorcycles without si<strong>de</strong>-cars and trallers pulled by these<br />

vehicles can not exceed 1.25 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

b) The width of the loading on a motorcycle with a si<strong>de</strong>-car can not exceed by more than 0.30 m<br />

the width of the vehicle when not loa<strong>de</strong>d.<br />

3. The width of the loading on tricycles and quadricycles with or without engine and trallers<br />

pulled by these vehicles can not exceed by more than 0.30 m<strong>et</strong>res the width of the vehicle when<br />

not loa<strong>de</strong>d, with absolute maximum of 2.50 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

Article 65:<br />

The loading on bicycles, mobyl<strong>et</strong>tes, motor bicycles and tricycles and quadricycles, with or<br />

without engine can not project beyond the front edge or the back edge of the vehicle, by more<br />

than 0.50 m<strong>et</strong>res.<br />

The provisions of the above paragraph are applicable to the loading of trallers pulled by the said
