B. Motorbikes and Motor-cycles

8. Registration plates bearing persons' or companies' own names
The individual name of the person or of the company following the letter R indicating Rwanda.
II. COLOURS
The colours of the registration plate numbers shall be determined as follows:
- All front registration number plates shall have a white background colour, a yellow
background colour on the rear number plates for all motor vehicles; and a yellow background
colour for motorbikes, motorcycles and trallers.
The letters and numerals shall be:
- A black colour for all private motor vehicles.
- A black colour on all vehicles under merchant regime.
- A blue colour applicable on central government vehicles and other public institution's
vehicles, motorbikes, motorcycles, and trallers.
-A green colour on all vehicles, motorbikes, motor-cycles and trallers applicable on diplomatic,
consulates, international and regional organizations accredited to the Republic of Rwanda as
well as those assigned to official entitled to diplomatic immunities except the vehicles for
United Nations' Organisation.
- A black colour on motor vehicles, motorbikes, motor- cycles and trallers under temporary
import regime.
- A blue colour for all vehicles, motorbikes, motorcycles and trallers used by donor funded
projects in the Republic of Rwanda.
- A blue colour for plates of all vehicles, motorcycles and trallers belonging to the United
