za hu mor i tre ba da bu de sprem na da se sme je i ša li, da bi bi la pri hva će na u dru štvu. Me đu tim,<br />
način na koji se humor koristi u diskursu pokazuje suprotno, naime, zadržavaju se tradicionalni<br />
rod ni iden ti te ti i po de la ulo ga. Na rav no, da bi se još bo lje osve tlio ovaj slo že ni fe no men, na<br />
ovom polju potrebno je sprovesti opširnija i sveobuhvatnija interdisciplinarna istraživanja .<br />

SUM MARY: The main idea be hind this pa per is to ex plo re the is su es of iden tity,<br />
gen der and hu mo ur as ex pres sed in the writ ten di sco ur se in so me po pu lar ma gazi<br />
nes de sig ned for wo men and men. One of the first qu e sti ons that promp ted this<br />
small-sca le study was: to what ex tent is hu mo ur gen de red, do iden tity and gen der<br />
in flu en ce hu mor and in what ways, or, to put it in ot her words, do men and wo men<br />
stick to the ir gen der ro les when they pro du ce hu mo ur and la ugh at dif fe rent things?<br />
This ar tic le pre sents the re sults of a small sca le study. Na mely, se ve ral po pu lar maga<br />
zi nes are analyzed in light of get ting bet ter in sight in to the way that iden tity and<br />
gen der are shown in hu mo ro us ac ti vi ti es. The analysis de mon stra tes that iden tity<br />
and gen der in flu en ce hu mor both overtly and co vertly and that ste re otypes re la ted<br />
to gen der are still wi dely pre sent.<br />
